Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Review

Bourgeois Healthy Mix Serum

We don’t often review skincare and make-up (although we do love trying out new brands). However, when a few people┬ácomment to Georgie that her skin to looking radiant, she feels she has to share her totally accidental find with you. Sadly, it is not down to naturally blemish-free, glowing skin but Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. It has been around a while but Georgie only tried it as she needed a make-up base as she had managed to get a bit of a tan on holiday she needed to purchase a new shade without spending lots of pennies (as tans fade faster than a cool glass of Rose on a Summer’s Day, she felt there was no point buying anything overly expensive).

The texture is light and completely buildable. Georgie has used it with a foundation brush to buff into the skin and with fingers when in a rush and it has blended seamlessly and provided a little bit of coverage with being mask-like each time. As the name suggests, its does feel like a light serum rather than gloopy foundation. The finish is dewy without being shiny and it seems to last the day (and Georgie has worn it on the muggy, yucky hot days over the past couple of weeks).

Don’t be alarmed but this is before any makeup has been applied. As you can see, there is definite room for improvement.

The above photo is with just the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum applied with a foundation brush. It is Shade 55 (Dark Beige / Beige Fonce) and seems a pretty good match. There is no concealer used and we think it has done a good job of evening out skin tone.

The final shot is with the healthy Mix Serum (available here) and some other products applied for definition (including the amazing Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit as reviewed here).
