mums fashion | the “statement” animal jumper

If you’ve been having a wonder about the shops recently or spent some time scrolling about the internet, you may have noticed the “statement” jumper becoming a bit of a feature. It’s loud, proud and not afraid to take centre stage in an outfit. It means the humble sweater can take on a whole new life this season so you can stay warm whilst keep it stylish. Here’s a pick of some jumpers we love at the moment.

Georgic’s Stella McCartney jumper may be from last season but it means you can pick up a bargain as they have them at Bicester Village at the moment in different colour ways. Georgie loved the grey, khaki and bottle green versions but went for the above one as the electric blue colour caught her eye. Plus, if you go to the Guest Services before you start shopping you will often get a card for an extra 10% off the already reduced price – purrrrrfect (sorry, it had to be done!).

Tiger jumper by H&M – This has sold out online but we’ve seen this jumper in store still. He’s not the best looking tiger but the slouchy fit and fearsome face have made him an irresistible wardrobe addition.

Bambi jumper by Markus Lupfer – Bambi…in sequins…we know, what’s not to love? A typically gorgeous piece from Markus Lupfer. It will put a smile on the grumpiest of faces.

Leopard jumper by PS Paul Smith at Very Exclusive – a very cool version of the animal jumper. A little bit “Cartier” if they were to emblazon a jumper…ever…maybe…

Festive sweater by Joules – a dog…in a bow tie…and glittery party hat…obviously! A cute and actually quite subtle version of the Christmas jumper.

Miffy cashmere sweater by Chinti & Parker – OK, so not a “statement” jumper but this is adorable and would last beyond the season.

Tiger patch sweatshirt at ASOS – this little tiger is on the hunt and the pop of orange looks great with dark blue denim.
