Though these days it’s pretty cold, wet and windy, what we do love about this time of year is the glorious weekend walks we get to go on. Sadly not all of our Winter days are crisp and sunny, so keeping warm and dry whilst getting the minis outdoors is something all us parents have to consider this time of year. One of our favourite tried and tested brands to keep the wind and rain at bay is Jo Jo Maman Bebe. A high street favourite which is really worth a look.
A best-selling piece, season after season is their waterproof Fisherman’s Jacket. A wonderful classic style that gives brilliant protection from the elements. A few of our favourite features of the jacket are that they are cotton lined, making them super soft, so there is absolutely no stiff plastic rigidness to them – pretty vital when you’re dressing toddlers and young children. The hoods are also really large, which means no wet and cold faces in the rain. The velcro storm flap at the neck is also really well designed in that it is super high, so keeps the wind and rain away, but it also loose enough to avoid any risk of an “it’s too tight” tantrum! Again, pretty vital in our books.
The Reversible Fleece Lined Waterproof Jacket is a good go-to coat to cover all the bases of the British weather. It has the cosy fleece lining to stop the wind whilst having the waterproof outer to keep rain at bay so kids can get on with the serious job of jumping in puddles. This Jojo Maman Bebe coat comes in a variety of designs to suit all personalities…funnily enough, the dinosaur one seems to match Teddy’s spirit pretty well!
When it is hard to predict what weather we’ll be waking up to, a good option is the Jojo Maman Bebe 4-in-1 Polarfleece Jacket. Harry was sent the blue version with stars lining the fleece. However, as with all things for Harry, Teddy insists on sharing. Luckily, the fleecy lining can be removed from the outer coat to create two pieces; one is a waterproof jacket with hood and the other is a fleece lined jacket. For really chilly days, the two lining can be linked back together to make a very cosy coat.
And not forgetting the ever vital puddle jumping wellies. Available in a huge choice of colours and designs, meaning there’s something for everyone. The reason why we like them is the flat sole. Never fans of a heeled wellie boot for little ones, due to all of the running about they do, the Jo Jo version are ideal as they are flexible, soft and do not get in the way of outdoor adventures.
