It can be hard to find gifts/toys for kids which are unusual and different to what they may already have in their toy boxes. Both of my sons are huge fans of Lego, but Teddy, the youngest is not blessed with patience and he is still a big young to get stuck in, building from scratch. Over Christmas I came across the brand Brikkon (available at Five Boys Clothing here). It was the answer to the “wanting to play with big brother” conumdorum.
It is a wooden toy which slots together and on which you can add regular Lego bricks. As Harry is mad on Star Wars I thought this would be a great addition for Teddy so he could join in the space flights taking place around the house.
I slotted the Brikkon pieces together to make up the rocket and star which was simplicity itself. I then showed Teddy what to do with a couple of bricks and after that he was away! He spent ages designing his spaceship and afterwards took Batman for its first flight. Harry was also impressed with the spaceship…helping Teddy make adjustments…!
