So you’ve shimmied down the slopes and slalomed your way back to your chalet…it’s now time for some relaxing fun with friends and family. When packing for après-ski style you want something which is warm and cosy after spending a day on the slopes but as it is a holiday, looking rather fabulous in the processs would not hurt. Here I pick out some of my favourite pieces which are gluvine-appropraite and fondue-ready.
Après-ski boots by Montelliana – these boots are furry, fabulous and fun. Love them!
Gilet by Lovesick Laundry – a new brand, their website is under construction but you can contact them directly for purchase options. This gilet is ideal for throwing on before heading out for something to warm the cockles.
Opal faux fur huff by Helen Moore – this headband style huff is a fabulous colour and will look fabulous on.
Cashmere luxe pom pom hat by Joseph – keeping your head warm means retaining most of your body heat and this is probably the perfect beanie to do the job.
Scarf with contrasting pockets by Jigsaw – the pockets are perfect for slipping your hands in them to keep warm and the flash of bright pink goes so well with the grey.
Cashmere fingerless gloves by Hush – i have been known to wear these under gloves for added warmth. These are great because, as a mum you always need hands free to blow the kids’ noses, wipe the kids’ mouths, delve into your bag etc.
Sheepskin mittens by Celtic Co. – to go over the fingerless gloves!
Edith jumper by Boden – in the sale, if this jumper does not scream “Alpine getaway” I don’t know what will.
Jumpers by Next “Oui” jumper – Multistripe jumper – “L’amour” jumper – these fun, well priced jumpers are all good apes-ski options. The “Oui” sweater has an element of Bella Freud about it with the typography.
“1970” polo jumper by Bella Freud – the real deal, this jumper is a good wardrobe investment beyond the snow, ski and slopes.
Cashmere rollback jumper by Hush – to sit in front of the fire in, drinking a hot chocolate after a day in the fresh air.
Cashmere box hoody by ME + EM – team this hoodie with the joggers below for a relaxed look. Also perfect for travelling.
Cashmere lounger pants by Wyse London – these cosy cashmere joggers are perfect for lounging about in after a hard day’s skiing.
Boyfriend fit sweater by Pull & Bear – just so inviting to curl up in by an open fire and read a good book.
Laura jumpsuit from Rock the Jumpsuit – so so comfortable and it has a double layer of heavy jersey which not only means it hangs beautifully, it is also reversible – two outfits in one! Team with Uniqlo’s HEATTECH layers (available here) for a warm yet extremely stylish apre-ski look.
Wedge sneaker by Inuikii – team these with the leather leggings below and the Pull & Bear chunky knit above for a look which will work just as well for the school run.
Leather leggings by Baukjen – an investment purchase, the leather will be warm and add some glamour to the off-piste gatherings.
