Here we are again…the month of August did bring us some days of Summer and sun but now September had crept in and a new school year begins. I actually quite like the collar months as I prefer the clothing which can be cosy and warm. However, I know it is not a feeling shared by many! Here is a look at what I’ve loved in August and what has caught my eye.
Now, I know I’ve already featured these in my Hush New Season Favourites post (see here) but I keep going and looking at them as they wink back at me. I just love how they balance the “over the knee”-ness with the relaxed look. Available here.
This top and jumpsuit from Zara Kids caught my attention as I taught the dusky pink with the blue looked adorable. Maybe expecting a girl is quite fun after all…Available here.
This long sleeved striped top from H&M is loose fitting which suits me down to the ground. I really think the gold lightning bolt gives it a more expensive look than the £12.99 it is. Available here.
Illuminating Tint and Conceal by Pixi Beauty is perfect for easy, peasy, lemon-squeezy daily make-up. It is only a tint but it somehow, when combined with the end concealer manages to make me feel ready to face the world. Available here.
For a much more purse-friendly option to the covetable Equipment shirts, the Button Down Silk Shirt by & Other Stories would definitely be one it’s way to my home if the bump allowed. The simplified animal print in the black and tan colour way is not too over the top and a perfect AW piece. Available here.
Our kitchen was completed in December last year but I still haven’t got round to choosing any lovely squishy cushions for the sofa. This one has caught my eye. The colours (and pom poms) should brighten up the grey upholstery! Available from Izzi Rainey here.
To add to the Izzy Rainey cushion these wool cushions from Cox & Cox look perfect for settling down to some Sunday night TV on…available here. The throws also look rather tempting!
During the Summer break not everyday has been filled with sunshine (stating the obvious??) so the boys have asked to do some baking when weather has stopped play. I used the Kate’s Bakes biscuit mixes. It makes baking with kids so easy and with minimal mess. Also, unlike many biscuit mixes, the end result was delicious! perfect little gifts/party bag favours and available here.
