Autumn seems to be settling in and I have to say, as long as I wake up to bright crisp mornings and not dull, grey ones, I love this time of year. The cosy knits can come out, boots can be worn and the kids can wrap up in snuggly layers ready for woodland walks. This time of year is perfect for grabbing a hot chocolate, settling down and taking a look at some bits and pieces I’ve come across through September and have been loving.
Gold stripe trousers by Hush – these have an elasticated waist so i am able to wear these below my bump and in my normal size and then, when the bump makes an appearance they can still be worn over Christmas.
Tartan Pull-on Trousers by Boden – my boys find jeans can be restrictive and annoy them when they are trying to demonstrate ninja kicks and intense building as they kneel over their Lego. These trousers are easy for them to put on, a soft, brushed jersey and can look smart when required. A hit all round!
Personalised Book by Wonderbly – I’ve purchased this book for Harry’s birthday. He absolutely loved reading Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and this is a spin-off from the book with plenty of personalised elements to make your little one feel special. It is beautifully made (some personalised books can seem a little flimsy) and the illustrations are gorgeous.
Year Wall Planner by Lollipop Designs – this might seem a bit too soon to some but as the baby is due in December I am trying to be organised and have already bought our 2018 wall planner. I have the 2017 one and I have found it really useful to be able to see the whole year at one glance. The design with the gold foil accents also makes it look attractive on the kitchen wall which is a bonus!
Metal Saddle Trim Loafer by Dune – with my bump growing and add to that a dislocated rib (it seems to be a “thing” with my pregnancies!!), I have given up trying to tie shoe laces so trainers and brogues are no longer an option. These loafers help fill the gap. Easy to put on, soft, soft leather and so comfortable (with a hint of Gucci thrown in for good measure at a fraction of the price!), these shoes will be true friends to me…just a note, they did not have my size online but discovered through their stock tracker they had a pair at my local store, so worth a check if you fancy them.
Pirates Magnified by Wide Eyed Editions – I purchased this book for a nephew’s birthday. It is a large book crammed full with detailed pictures to explore with he included magnifying glass. A great Christmas or birthday gift idea…anything by Wide Eyed Editions tends to be a hit!
Halloween Colouring Pages by Mr. Printables – I have printed off the Easter and Christmas versions of this and the boys have enjoyed the large scale colouring in. You stick the printed pages together either tape it to a wall or spread it out on the floor and let the little ones loose on it. A perfect activity for Half Term.
