Beauty | Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette review with swatches

When is comes to make-up I love Charlotte Tilbury’s eye shadows. Their colours, pigmentation and texture create beautiful looks with staying power. The Instant Eye Palette is a new addition containing four eye “looks” to see us from day to evening, from work to rest to play. I thought I’d share a review of the gorgeous palette with some swatches so you can see how swoon-some the “looks” really are.

The rose gold Instant Eye Palette has the signature Art Deco embossing which provides Charlotte Tilbury’s signature style and houses dreamy colours which will suit all ages and colourings. Encased inside are four “looks” each divided up and made super easy to use. From an easy everyday “Day Eye” look to the amazing “Disco Eye” impactful trio, this palette covers all the bases.

I did my best to swatch the colours for you although i don’t think it really shows the truly fabulous shades (I have photographed myself wearing each “look” below to show the colours off better). As you can see each trio has a base, enhance and smudge/liner shade. Charlotte Tilbury describes the colours as:

The Day Look for a fresh, natural eye makeup look, with a delicate matte cream, shimmering neutral brown & taupe matte perfection.

The Desk Look with pink champagne, chocolate brown & caramel shades, this smokey eye is the perfect power of makeup look for work.

The Date Look has sultry, shimmering mauve-cocoa and chocolate shades for the ultimate smokey, soft and dreamt eye makeup.

The Disco Look is the go-to party eye! Indulge with black and emollient-rich molten gold for a dramatic rock chick look.

The only addition I made to each eye was a dark brown liner and mascara. Also, on another note, I purchased the Charlotte Tilbury Eye Smudger Brush¬†about three years ago and use it constantly to create a soft line along my lashes or to smudge colour into the crease of my eye. Its been a fantastic addition to my make-up brush collection (available here). I loved all the “looks” and as always i feel Charlotte Tilbury has delivered on colour and ease of application. My only (little) gripe is that I was expecting the actual palette to feel weightier. It is plastic, not metal but it makes it lighter to pack and does not impact on its use.

You can purchase the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eye Palette here. It would be perfect for the upcoming festive season and make a wonderful Christmas gift for anyone who loves make-up.
