My bump is now of comedic proportions as October leaves us and November settle in. Half Term is behind us and the thrill and excitement of Christmas lies ahead. As we build up to the festive season, here are a few things I’ve loved over the last month…many could be considered for gifting/wearing for the Christmas season. It’s never too early to start!
My favourite candle brand, The Bird Box, recently underwent a new brand design. The new candle holders feature a simple yet stunning gold feather and the combination of fragrances and quality continue to enhance the home. The Founder, Sophie explained to me we are often drawn to fragrances which can help us when I said I am loving the smell of Frankincense at the moment. Apparently Frankincense is good if your mind feels a bit muddled…mine has felt like that since having kids so the “Cleanse & Align” candle hs been a firm favourite this month. Available here.
I think that is Marie Antoinette was around today and a stay at home mum these are what she would wear around the house so if they are good enough for her…available from Marks & Spencer here.
I spoke about how fab Charlotte Tilbury’s Eye Smudger Brush in the recent review of did of the Instant Eye Palette (see here) and she has included it in her limited edition mini brush kit. The quality of the brushes is fantastic and these useable brushes are a great idea to have when travelling and can obviously be used at home. A perfect pressie or treat. Available here.
To say i publish a blog I am amazingly behind when it comes to new technology. When Amazon launched their Echo with you being able to speak to this mythical woman Alexa, I just didn’t get it. However, the other day I was at a friends and she showed me how is actually works. You can ask Alexa anything from the times tables to what the weather will be like as well as asking for music and radio channels to be played. Sonos have launched their version which links to the Amazon Echo and Alexa but with Sonos compatibility. Anyone looking towards Christmas may find this making it onto their or someone else’s wish list. Available here.
I was sent some Marco Tozzi boots at the end of September so have been getting out and about in them over October. Oh my goodness, they are so comfortable! I was so surprised as they have a heel so was not sure how good the squishy insole would be but they have not hurt my feet one bit. Also, the design is spot on and I’ve received a fair few compliments when wearing them. They are available here.
At the beginning of December is Harry’s birthday and then the baby is due so I am having to be more organised than usual over Christmas and finding gifts. This adorable wooden doll house from Olli Ella is just screaming out to be personalised and I love how it can be folded and closed and even has a carry handle. A great price for a well designed toy which would surely make any little girl smile. Available here.
Another treat for little girls would be this Alimrose gold spot ballerina doll. Perfect for a stocking for Christmas Eve gift…she could even grace the top of a Christmas tree and then be treasured and played with the rest of the year. We have the cowboy doll for the boys and the quality is gorgeous. Available from Cottage Toys here.
If you want to be super organised this Christmas, Kikki K have launched their Christmas Planner. As well as the usual gift/party/meal lists, it does have a section to make you stop and think about what you want from this wonderful time of year. Available here.
My boys are superhero mad and I love this fun take from Tobias & The Bear. Their clothing is soft and washes brilliantly. Teddy lived in their leggings when he was smaller. Available here.
Looking towards Christmas again, these pyjamas from lala & Be a are not only a cool option with the deer print but are in their sale! Perfect for snuggling up in by the fire with The Night Before Christmas being read. Available here.
