As we edge every closer to the festive season we see the shops become filled with sparkle and sequins. They are a perfect way to add merriment and glitz to either day or night. Here are a few of my favourite pieces.
Sequin skirt by Marks & Spencer – I love the deep blue and the silhouette. Not one I can wear this Christmas but team as above or with a knit for a festive ready look.
Black kitten heel sequin boots by New Look – the perfect heel height for dancing the night away. Team with leather (or faux leather) trousers and a silk shirt for a modern look.
Sequin V cami by ASOS – throw over a black tuxedo jacket for grown up glamour.
Sequin cover up by Monsoon – this could be worn with a simple white T-shirt and jeans for day time sparkle or dressed up with black or deep navy for evening.
Sequinned midi skirt by Emilia Wickstead – this is a bit crazy price-wise but I couldn’t help myself. i love how it’s been styled and the slight kick of the skirt at the bottom. If you really, really, really want to treat yourself…
Virginie Sequin Shirt by Boden – I featured this in a Boden post recently and love it. Both colour ways work perfectly to make daywear more fun or evening wear perfectly polished.
Sequin knit jumper by Markus Lupfer – I love Markus Lupfer knits. I have one which comes out again and again to add some shine to my outfits. This one is a fantastic cheeky take on the cable knit sweater…and it’s 50% off!
Albertina sequin flats by Boden – another Boden piece but the matt gold sequins make wearing flat shoes that little bit more party-ready.
Sequin knit by Zara – for a casual take on the sequin look, this relaxed sweater is a great option.
Thunder embroidered sweater by Mango – a cool take on sequins.
Wool sequin jumper by the White Company – if you aren’t too sure of covering yourself in sequins, this knit from The White Company offers a subtle take with sequins delicately scatted over the shoulders and neckline.
Navy embellished swing T-shirt dress by River Island – a party dress to feel comfortable as well as glamorous in.
Sequin leggings by Boohoo – Boohoo is actually a great place if you want to try and trend but not invest too much in it. I am not saying you pull out a crop top as in this photo but with a jumper such as this cashmere cable rollneck from N Peal (available here – I have this jumper and have worn it time and again. I sized up for a relaxed, longer fit).
