We’ve been so lucky this Summer. The sun has got it’s hat on and the Summer holidays are most definitely in full swing. We’ve been lucky enough to have had break in Croatia. It is stunning. Crystal clear waters, beautiful scenery and air conditioning!!!!
Now we are into August and the heatwave looks set to continue (despite the odd day of rain – although, I know I’m getting older as I realise it will do the garden no end of benefits!), I thought I’d give you a look at what I loved in July. Grab a glass of cool rose (I love to add some ice cubes!), sir back and take a gander.
Macy dress by Hush – This dress is actually from last season. I wore it last year to cover my ever growing Hettie bump but I have worn it loads this year. Whenever I wear it I receive lovely compliments and it is now in the sale at the bargain price of £35!
Strappy Cami by New Look – these super cheap cami tops hang really well and have straps which seem to be perfectly placed to go over a bra. They wash brilliantly and are so versatile. A perfect wardrobe addition.
Velvet Charm Bracelet by Millie Pink – I have a couple of these and they are perfect holiday accessories. A bit of bling but subtle enough for everyday. As I type this I have my soft grey velvet band with rose gold star charm on my wrist!
“Woman” Cheetah Tee by Charlotte Olympia x Selfish Mother – not only is this T-shirt well cut and fits well without being clingy or baggy, not only is it designed in collaboration with charlotte Olympia, but proceeds from the sale go towards supporting the Women for Women International charity. You can now pre-order and see more about the amazing work the charity does here. Plus you can read my post on this and the War Child UK collaboration tees here.
“Eufy” RoboVac – we have a new pet! The kids call him “Goofy” and he is the most well behaved pet you could possibly have. A couple of friends had an Eufy robot vacuum and raved about it and they were so right. This circular wonder busies about the floor sweeping in dirt with its brushes and when he needs to recharge he takes himself back to his little dock. You can also connect him to an app to control him if out and about. You think your floor isn’t that dirty until you empty it – I don’t know where he finds the dirt but find it, he does (and yes, we’ve decided “Goofy the Eufy” is a “he”!).
Eye2Eye Eye Shades by Trinny London – in Croatia the only make-up I wore was Trinny London. It’s easy to pack and just works. The eye shades are a creme eye shadow without being gooey or sticky. The “Sun” and “Empress” shades were my colours of choice. The “Sun” colour is a gold with pinky/peach undertones whilst “Empress”, which I used more as a liner, is a dark bronze/brown with gold flecks. The perfect colours for Summer.
Felt Tip Pens by Lego – we took these on holiday for the boys and they were perfect. The lids click together like normal Lego so they can be easily transported without getting lost in the bottom on a bag. The boys also found clicking them together in different shapes good fun (whatever floats your boat I guess!). Brilliant for holiday travels!
ThinkFun Rush Hour Traffic Game by Ravensburger – Harry was shown this on a play date and he loved it so much we bought it to take with us on holiday. It’s addictive to kids and adults and helps develop the thinking ahead process as well as logic. You can also get add on cars and new challenges when you’ve mastered the set included.
Ditsy Floral UV SunPro Swimsuit by John Lewis – this little UV swimsuit for Hettie is so, so pretty and covers her really well to protect her sensitive skin (so many UV suits have short sleeve and I prefer long sleeves for the kids).
