With not long to go until a new school year begins, I have been sorting and ordering the school uniform for Harry and Teddy in preparation of that first day of nervousness and excitement (from both the kids and me!). The next job is to label ALL the uniform which when faced with the mountains of not only uniform but PE kit, socks and various outdoor learning paraphernalia, makes me shake in my shoes slightly. This is where Attach A Tag is going to make my life that bit easier.
Attach A Tag is designed to make the labelling of school uniform quick and painless. Now, Harry and Teddy’s school do insist that some labels are sewn on (sigh!), but with some items this little labelling wonder has really helped me whizz through some of the uniform mountain, from socks (I used to hand sew name tags onto ALL pairs of socks before I received this – no wonder I ended up binge watching The Good Wife), to waterproof clothing which has no where to easily sew a label, to backpacks.
I was sent the Attach A Tag Starter Kit which included the applicator, removal tool and tags to get me going. I like that it is simple to use and that you can remove the tags and reuse them although you can purchase extra tags and retainers. The tags are also designed to stay put unlike iron-on labels which can easily come off after washing and pen labelling which is messy and fades.
To attach the tag you simply slot both pieces into the applicator, press down through the fabric and turn the top lever clockwise to lock the tag in place. It takes seconds to do.
If you are faced with a huge amount of school uniform to label then I cannot recommend the Attach A Tag Starter Kit enough. I just had our surname out on the tags as the boys share some uniform but you can get up to three lines etched onto the tag. As I said, I cannot use it for all the uniform but if you can you’ll be done in no time. Much easier than sewing or even ironing all the labels onto the endless kit! I was sent the Attach A Tag Starter Kit in return for a honest review. All images and thoughts are my own.
