With not only Halloween coming up but Half Term as well I thought I would put together some Halloween themed crafts the kids could get involved in to build up to the spooky, spectacular night. Some may require a bit of help but many involve getting the kids out and about in the fresh air which tends to help if cabin fever craziness starts to set in.
Haunted House Halloween Treat Boxes by Mr. Printables – this website is great for colouring and craft ideas. Let the kids loose with a Pritt Stick to make these boxes into a ghost town. You can fill them with sweet and treats to surprise them. There is also a fab giant colouring in sheet of a haunted house you print off on A4 sheets and stick together.
Halloween Masks by It’s Always Autumn – a good activity for a playdate or Halloween party if a moment of calm is required!
Halloween Tic-Tac-Toe by The Purple Pumpkin – get the kids out in the fresh air to hunt for some suitable stones to make this game.
Ghostly leaves by Scandimini – I love the simplicity of this idea. A morning collecting leaves and the afternoon seeing if they can be turned into ghosts.
Recycled Halloween Sun Catchers by Crafts on Sea – simply use markers or paint on yogurt tops for cute little sun catchers. Perfect for the glorious days we’ve been having.
DIY Ghost Windsock by Chicken Scratch NY – these can be made with large or regular sized cans and hung in trees around the garden.
Glitter Wands – Simply get the kids out collecting sticks, start painting and finally a sprinkling of glitter and there you have it, their very own wizard/witch wand!
Hanging Bats by Buggy and Buddy – this craft is adorable and my boys love a pipe cleaner to work with!!!
