I came across Popsy & Mama through The Shire Collective, a networking hub for small businesses in the Home Counties which I run with some friends. I have met so many amazing women doing so many creative things…one of them being Sam, Owner of Popsy & Mama. She is a Mum who through her love of beautiful clothes for little people, started making pieces for her daughter (“Popsy”) and has expanded into making simply gorgeous designs for girls and boys (she has just started the boys range which will expand soon).
Each piece is made to order and you can choose from a selection of fabrics. Hettie was sent the Maisie Romper and Evie Bloomers. When they arrived I was delighted with the quality of finish and the timeless design of each item. Sam makes sure her whole collection features classic styles which won’t date. I love the romper and bloomers so much I am now deciding on Hettie’s Christmas wardrobe…Sam has released some lovely Christmas fabrics for the festive occasion.
For Hettie’s bloomers I chose a fine navy needlecord with a little blue floral bow at the front. The waist is elasticated making them easy to put on and they look perfect with tights and a little blouse whilst also meaning Hettie can crawl about unhindered.
Hettie’s romper is so divine I want it in different fabrics! For this one Sam made it in a pink spotty cotton gauze. Its soft and easy to put on with adjustable poppers at the back to accommodate growth spurts. I think this in a velvet for Christmas would look wonderful.
If you have a girl aged from newborn to 10 years you need to visit Popsy & Mama (here). The prices are so reasonable and to think they are all handmade by Sam is amazing – she’s one talented Mama. I LOVE the frill collared blouse and skirt with braces – a perfect Christmas outfit for an older girl…no doubt you will be seeing Hettie in more of Popsy & Mama’s pieces!
