Christmas seems to be the time when we can let our hair down and get a bit more sparkly in what we wear – even in our everyday style. The Christmas jumper has been a new tradition which takes on this fun element of the festive season. However, with more of us aware of the destructive nature of “throwaway fashion” I thought I would put together na edit of Christmas-worthy jumpers which can be worn beyond December 25th.
Silver Marl Cashmere Sweater by Chinti & Parker – a little bit cheeky, especially if you find yourself stood under the mistletoe…
Flo Sequin Star in Navy by Wyse London – I have a similar jumper to this and find I wear it with so many different outfits. It looks great over a maxi dress as well as with a good pleated skirt.
Star Sweatshirt by Lala & Bea – understated for an everyday Christmas celebration and for days you just want to shine that little bit more.
Love Sweater by Orwell & Austen – if love isn’t the sentiment for Christmas I don’t know what it. This jumper would look great with leather leggings.
Sequinned Jumper by Zara – a bit of a glam take on the Fair Isle design. Perfect for Sunday lunches in a pub after the festive period.
Star Cashmere Jumper by Marks & Spencer – a versatile knit which isn’t too Christmas-y so it would be easy to wear again and again.
Fairytale of New York by Bella Freud – a little bit cool and a little bit fun.
Halo Jumper by Hush – these glittering little stars make a subtle impression and can be laidback with jeans or styled with a floaty skirt and heels for an evening look.
Agnes Fair Isle Jumper by Boden – I love the mustard yellow with the blue for a alternative colour combo for Christmas.
Cable Knit Jumper by Baukjen – a simple, timeless knit which can be glammed up with a sequin skirt and then with cords and trainers throughout the rest of the year.
