It may just be me but with the over indulgence during the festive period and then the change in temperatures and constant central heating, my skin decided to have a bit of a meltdown. Well, I say meltdown, it was actually the complete opposite. My skin, between Christmas and New Year decided to shrivel up so not only was I dealing with the usual odd hormonal breakout, my skin became dehydrated and flakey (urgh!). Something had to be done so I thought I would give the Green People Age Defy+ skincare routine a go and share my review with you.
The Age Defy+ range from Green People is targeted at those wanted deep hydrated (yes), skin regeneration (umm, yes again…anything to get rid of the flakey skin) and to bring back radiance and clarity (yes, yes, yes!).
The immediate effect of using these products was the feeling you were indulging in a little bit of skincare luxury. As all the products smelt gorgeous I enjoyed spending time massaging them into the skin.
The cleanser was creamy and velvety and although my skin felt clean, it also felt soft after using it. Ingredients include pomegranate and rosehip which are perfect if you skin is feeling sensitive and overloaded.
I followed the cleanser with the serum which includes the anti inflammatory herb rosemary. I used any left over serum on my arms and inhaled the scent which provided a small moment of relaxation at the beginning and end of the day.
As my skin has been so angry I have been using the 24 Hour Brightening Moisturiser which included Pineapple to encourage an invisible “chemical” exfoliation nd cucumber to promote even skin tone filled by the Cell Enrich Facial Oil. The facial oil really added moisture to my skin and occasionally I mixed a drop with my foundation to make it more of a treat.
After using the skincare set for about three weeks my skin has lost all signs of flakiness and definitely feels softer. It may be too early to say if my wrinkles have been reduced but the fine dehydration lines I had around my eyes are not as bad as they were – little wins!
On a side note, the Cleansing Balm in the collection is also a complete and utter joy to use and I think I will be bringing it back into my skincare kit.
