Matilda & Grace is an Oxford based business run by a Mum, Elizabeth who designs and makes truly beautiful bows in plain and Liberty print fabrics for little girls. Even before I had, or knew I was having Hettie, I followed Matilda & Grace on Instagram (I’m a sucker for a bit of Liberty print!) wondering if I could get away with wearing the bows (I haven’t tried as yet). Therefore, when Hettie arrived with a shock of hair I knew that as soon as it was long enough her hair clips would be coming from Matilda & Grace.
Now, I may have gone overboard and in Hettie’s drawers are a selection of the larger bows and some hairbands but for now she wears the cutest little fringe clips (available here) which means she can see what she is doing and where she’s crawling off to. You can choose the fabric and size of bow/hair bobble and whether it comes on the clip (as pictured), slide or elastic hairband as well as the most adorable scrunchies.
I have on my little “want” list some of the fringe clips in the yellow Liberty print fabrics as I think they go so beautifully with navy and grey whilst I also think the plain linen bows are perfect staples.
As you probably know only too well now, I love discovering independent brands and Matilda & Grace is a label is one I love to support. Hettie has been wearing her clips everyday since October and they have lasted and stayed in place, such is the dedication of Elizabeth to produce and deliver a product of quality and beauty.
You can find Matilda & Grace’s bows, hairbands and scrunchies here.
Matilda & Grace kindly gifted Hettie her fringe clips however I had already purchased some pieces – I am a real fan!
