I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and Farrow & Ball’s feed came up and I didn’t see a beautifully painted interior, I saw Superga trainers. Intrigued I took a further look and have discovered a new collaboration which sees Farrow & Ball taking inspiration from their colour palettes to create some trainers which are Spring/Summer ready.
Using the classic 2750 Cotu style trainer with cotton canvas upper and squishy rubber sole, Farrow & Ball have combined colours from their array of beautiful shades to create five different colour ways to choose from.
Farrow & Ball have looked at all details when designing the trainer, with the canvas upper painted as a “wall”, the sole (which has been shaped to represent a classic Victorian skirting board) representing the said skirting board and the flash of colour on the base, the floor.
The colour way which caught my eye was the Kaisertrab which uses De Nimes, Pavilion Grey and Charlotte’s Locks along with a mustard yellow lining in the Farrow & Ball Tessella wallpaper print.
All the new Superga x Farrow & Ball trainers are perfect to wear with dresses, jeans and shorts. I have a feeling the Kaisertrab might be a definite “Add to Basket” for me…which would you choose?
