Hettie has a handful of toys she plays with constantly, one of them being her Miniland doll. The baby doll she has from the Mainland range is just 21cm long which makes it the perfect size for her little hands.
The Miniland doll is the only doll I have found which has gentle features and has incorporated within its collection a range of cultures as well as being able to choose from a boy or girl.
The dolls are manufactured from eco-friendly and non-toxic Phthalates-free vinyl meaning they are safe for both children and for our environment.
Each doll has moveable limbs and comes dressed in a white vest and underwear so that your child can use their own imagination to create their own world of play. I have to admit, I have ordered some pieces for Hettie’s doll (who she calls “Bebe”) from some small, independent businesses who hand make clothes and accessorises for these small dolls.
I cannot recommenced the Miniland doll enough for any child wanting to cuddle and care for their own “Bebe”. You can purchase the dolls at Cottage Toys here and I bought the coshes featured in the photos from Przytullale here and the Moses basket and knitted accessories came from Lovingly Knit here.
