At the end of the month we are off to Devon for our annual holiday beside the seaside. I have fingers and toes crossed the sun shines so the kids can dig holes on the beach, try and stop the sea getting into said holes and eating shrimp with a glass of rose in hand whilst I look on. Such holidays don’t call for glamour but an easy-going wardrobe which can take the sand, salt and sunshine.

Left to Right from Top:

Justin Polarised Wayfarer Sunglasses by Ray Ban – simple and effective with minimal fuss for bright, sunny days on the beach.

Striped Tee by Boden – a striped tee is practically a must on a staycation break and the slight boatneck finish on this tee is perfect for seaside adventures.

The Raglan by Navy Grey – Navy Grey knits are classic, timeless pieces and this limited edition lightweight number is ideal for chiller days.

Cacoon Jumpshorts by STALF – I actually have a couple of the longer length versions of these (but they have sold out!) and wear them on the beach most days. Easy and comfortable, they can be worn with a tee or lightweight jumper underneath or just as they are.

Denim Shorts by Boden – the aptly named “Salcombe Shorts” are a really winner in my book – I even dedicated a post to them here. You’ll live in these if the weather allows.

Inclement Weather Raincoat by Barbour – just in case the heavens do decide to open a hooded raincoat is always a good option and this one is currently on sale!Arizona Big Buckle Sandals by Birkenstock – a classic with the statement big buckles which I love.

Rose Gold Sandals by Saltwater – a pair you can wear in the day or for an evening down the pub. These soft leather sandals can get wet in the sea or caught in a downpour and dry to look as good as new (I have a tan pair and a gold pair I pack every year).

Stan Smiths by Adidas – simple white trainers for travelling in and for roaming narrow lanes in.

Backpack by Herscel Supply Co. – these backpacks are comfortable to carry and have their trademark red and white stripe lining. They are ideal for carrying around supplies for the day ahead.
