There may be some tentative steps towards seeing if lockdown can be eased but for us, we remain at home. Homeschooling, endless cups of tea and a large glass of wine seem to be the norm. One new activity I have started up again is sketching and painting. It has been years since I have taken time out to indulge this hobby but I find it helps me switch off. The other night I started a quick sketch of my lockdown essentials and I thought I would share some of them here on the blog.
Calm CBD Oil by Grass & Co – I have written about this little bottle of magic before (see here). It just helps me fall asleep without any fogginess the following day. I just take a few drops on the odd nights I find my mind is overactive and let myself drift off into the land of nod.
Super Glow Hyaluronic Self Tan Serum by Tan-Luxe – I appreciate I’m not out and about but a bit of a glow does make me feel better and less washed out even if it is for being around the house. This serum is super easy to use, adds moisture and can be added into your morning routine without any hassle. I apply it after cleansing and before moisturiser as I would any serum.
Pure Silk Hair Scrunchies by Slip – to be honest, I lived in these before lockdown. However I am not drying my hair at the moment so once it has air dried I pop one of these in. They do not pull or snag my hair and feel like a little bit of luxury in my current world of activewear and jeans on repeat.
Gin Mare – my favourite gin with Fever Tree Meditaranian Tonic, some orange peel and rosemary. Sit back in the early evening sunshine and pretend I’m on my holibobs!
Gel Oil-Free SPF50 by Heliocare – I have used this for a few years now and it is the only SPF which doesn’t break me out in spots or clog my pores. It protects not only against the suns damage to skin but also damage done by computer and phone screens.
Lip2Cheek in Lady J by Trinny London – my stay at home makeup is pretty minimal. I wear either Trinny London BFF Cream or I have a tinted version of the above Heliocare SPF, followed by Trinny London BFF Eye with Lady J on my cheeks to make me feel a bit put together and less scary if someone happens to FaceTime me. You can see a video of my current daily makeup routine here.
Relaxed Grey Jumper by Navy Grey – I have written about this sustainable knitwear brand here. Their relaxed style jumper in grey is a piece I keep wearing again and again at the moment. It is like a big hug and feels so comforting. A true classic for your wardrobe.
Moli Sandals by Air & Grace – these are the most comfortable sandals I worn. I wear them constantly when in the garden or on a short walk and can’t wait to take them with me on a holiday. Your feet give a little sigh of joy when they feel the comfort of the Air & Grace soles and these new sandals combine Isabel Marant coolness with comfort the feet a mum of three craves when on her feet all day!
