With the Summer Holiday break well and truly underway, my time is filled with thinking of ways of keeping the kids entertained before all types of crazy kicks off. It mainly involves trying to figure out ways of wearing them out so at the end of the day their heads hit their pillows and blissfully quiet evenings follow. I am finding I am browsing the virtual shopping world during these calmer moments and thought I’d share some items I have, want or simply lust after from afar…
In My Home
Super Seed Facial Oil by Votary is making my sensitive skin happier – Mid-Year Diary by Papier is making my need to use a diary again a more pleasing experience with it’s gorgeous design – Heliocare Sun Touch Hydragel is similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter but with the added bonus of sun and harmful ray protection – I use the Everything Bag by Marloe London for carrying all the swimming bits to and from the pool and soon (fingers crossed!) for trips to the beach. I got it last year (see here) and love the neon on the navy and the fact it’s light but HUGE! – I have worn my cashmere hoody from ME + EM on repeat since lockdown. It seems to go with everything from jeans to dresses for when there is a chill in the air or for cooler evenings. – I bought the “Love” T-shirt from Orwell + Austen, which is a sustainable and conscious fashion label who produce graphic, wearable tees and knitwear. This is sure to be a Summer staple.
In My Basket
Face Masks by Olivier Baby – with face masks becoming a requirement on July 24th in shops I will be adding to my Baukjen ones with these pretty designs. – These simple, white platform trainers by Air & Grace would look great with cropped wide leg jeans and a hoody. – In fact, the trainers would look great with this hoody from Baukjen (I am loving a hoody at the moment, in case you haven’t guessed!). A soft pink is a flattering colour to brighten the skin and will look great teamed with denim shorts on the beach. – My friend introduced me to Beauty Pie last year and I have to say I love most of the products I’ve tried. This serum is next on my list to try. It is said to calm irritation whilst infusing skin with hydration and in turn brightening the complexion…I’m sold! – Dungaree Shorts by Next are moments away from being purchased…these plus a vest and sandals equals my seaside outfit for when we venture to Cornwall. – With Summer well under way I usually leave my hair to dry naturally and I am hoping this Curl Defining Leave-in Butter by Grow Gorgeous will make my wavy hair less frizzy.
In My Dreams
As nights out are not happening at the moment I shall lust after this golden hue infused eye shadow palette by Victoria Beckham beauty from afar and wait for when disco eyes are called for once more. – A simple tan sandal is a Summer wardrobe must have and these by K. Jacques are the ultimate for a classic, forever style. – The swimwear from Hunza G is designed for women of all shapes and sizes and this bikini is a simple design with a pop of colour. – Hettie would no doubt immediately take these for herself if I had these wrist candy lovelies by Roxanne Assoulin – I had to feature another hoody!! This cashmere offering from Wyse London is on this list as with those glorious rainbow coloured tassels would drive our cat crazy! – If lodging by a pool was a thing a mum of three could do, this would be the hat to do it in by Eugenia Kim.
