We are back from the most wonderful week away in Cornwall. Apart from the odd moment of grey cloud skating across the coastal sky, there was sunshine to be had, long days on the beach and lazy evenings with a gin and tonic overlooking the ocean.
Now we are back and I work my way through the mountain of laundry I thought I’d share my essentials for the trip clothes and skincare-wise.
Ribbed bikini top and bottoms by Marks & Spencer – I purchased this and I felt it looked more expensive than the M&S price and looked rather chic. It withstood digging sandcastles, playing catch and a (very) quick dip in the sea!
Denim Dungaree Shorts by Next – I featured these here as something I was thinking of purchasing…well I did get them and they were wroth getting! These were worn continuously over my swimwear to and from the beach.
Merino Wool Cardigan by Navy Grey – perfect for when the sun hides behind a cloud.
Tan Leather Sandals by Salt-Water – these sandals are soft leather but can be worn in the sea without getting damaged. The ultimate staycation shoe!
Mini Silk Scrunchies by Slip – I have to say, I wear these non-stop weather on holiday or not! They don’t snag my hair at all.
White Hand Embroidered Dress by Dilli Grey – I featured this on a previous blog and it was perfect teamed with tan sandals for the odd evening meal we had out.
Plantastic Apricot Butter Cleansing Balm by Beauty Pie – this cleansing balm feels so luxurious to use. It smells gorgeous and turns milky when you massage your face with water after applying the balm. A little bit of luxury to add to your skincare routine which leaves skin feeling lovely.
Purity Vitamins Bronzing Water Serum by St Tropez – this doubles as a face serum with line-smoothing hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and D boosters to brighten and shield from external aggressors along with a fake tan which develops over 4-8 hours. As I wear a high SPF and a hat, this helps me achieve a healthy glow without damaging my skin. It’s a genius product!
Evercalm Day Cream by REN – my go-to moisturiser which doesn’t react to my sensitive skin.
Divine Oil by Caudalie – I have used this oil for years and pack it on all holidays. I can be used as a body oil for for parched hair. It smells…well, divine!
Hair Oil in Cream by L’Oreal – I love this! It’s a great price and makes my dry frizzy hair turn into soft beachy waves.
Tinted SPF50 by Heliocare – this acts as an SPF and with the tint providing ample cover for a day on the beach or an evening watching the world go by, you don’t need to pack an extra foundation or tinted moisturiser.
VeeBee Lip2Cheek by Trinny London – sorry, there are a few Trinny London products here but what can I say, I just find them so easy to use which makes them perfect for holiday packing. This shade is a really flattering warm toned neutral colour for a hint of healthy colour.
Ambient Lighting Powder in “Dim Light” by Hourglass – I have used this for goodness knows how long. It isn’t heavy and just slightly airbrushes the skin to finish it off.
Eye2Eye in Fortune by Trinny London – I go back to this shade again and again. It can be a subtle shimmery wash of colour of layered up to makes eyes really pop. The only eye colour I need on holiday as I can use it as a liner too for evening. You can see me using some of the products featured in this post in my video post here.
Wondergloss Lip Oil by Beauty Pie – this isn’t at all sticky but feels really moisturising. It has the smallest hint of shimmer and looks great alone or over the Lip2Cheek.
