Christmas Gift Guide |Gift Ideas Which Give Back and Can Make A Difference

I have been coming across gift ideas which. more and more, are not only about providing something wonderful for the recipient but they also make sure that by purchasing he gift, something is given back. I thought I’d do a little round up of some gifts you can give the ones you love which in turn, spread love further afield.

From Top Left to Right:

Violet the Fawn by Cuddle and Kind – this company donates meals to kids in poverty through WE Charity with the sale of each beautifully designed doll.

Zero Waste Starter Kit by Wakecup – this set has a rucksack, bamboo water bottle, travel mug and straws. The brand donates 10% of its profits to The Marine Conservation Society and Plastic Ocean. These products can also be purchased separately so the water bottle could make a great stocking filler for kids.

Lion Ride-On by Wheely Bug – this cuddly ride-on toy helps support the Born Free Trust whilst being super fun for any little one to zoom about on.

Scented Candle by Arya Candles – these candles are made within the Suffolk countryside and the frankincense and Sandlewood is perfect for the festive season. Every purchase of this candle goes towards empowering women in war-torn countries,

Eco Friendly AirPods Cases by Uunique – for the style conscious teenager, theses AirPods cases come in a selection of colours. This brand donates a percentage of it sales to eco charities around the world.

Backpack by Good Ordering – this company supports London based schools and cycling festivals to encourage community relations. This backpack is perfect for kids looking to pack away their belongings whilst having hi-vis details to help with visibility. They also do some great adult backpacks too.

The Bee Keeper Activity Box by The Little Eco Society – I love this! It was seeing this which inspired this post. This gift means the recipients gets to adopt their very own bee and in return they will receive information about their bee, some beeswax to help make reusable food wraps, a jar of honey from their bee’s hive along with a biodegradable pot so they can plant bee friendly flowers in the Spring.

Shoes by Toms – possibly one of the first well known brands to give something back with each purchase, Toms make a gift perfect for all ages.

Sustainable, Plantable Pencil at The National Trust – when the pencil has been well used to its stub, plant it and see what will grow…from delicate flowers to fragrant herbs.

Silk Daisy Chain by The National Trust – these pretty daisies have loop ended stems so your little one can make a lovey little daisy chain bracelet or necklace. An adorable gift.

XL Colouring Sheets by Unicef – these will keep little ones entertained and money from the sale goes to help the Unicef charity.

Peace & Mind Gift Box by Alice & Peg – this gift contains everything needed for a moment of calm plus £1 from the sale of each box goes to Young Minds, a charity to support young people suffering with mental health issues.

Carrie Recycled Wool Jumper by Baukjen – Baukjen are a clothing brand who are dedicated to making sure their designs are made using ethically sourced material and using manufactures who pay decent wages. This recycled wool knit is far from old stacey jumpers…this chunky cable knit jumper is soft and cosy (believe me, I am super fussy with knitwear and find it a joy to wear!).
