Stay at Home | More Free Activities for Kids

With us all settling into our new lives I thought I’d try and share some more activities over the coming weeks. Hopefully you are all keeping well

Colouring Pages by Tickety Boo Studio – these pages are perfect for colouring and putting in your windows at home to show support for the work the NHS and key workers are doing.

Puffy Paint Recipe by The Artful Parent – there are variations on this recipe on the internet but The Artful parent is a great resource and has multiple ideas to keep kids busy.

Mini Beast Garden Hunt Printable by Art by K Fitchett – get the kids exploring outside with this free printable.

Colouring Pages by Sophie Webster – a chance to keep the kids entertained and there is also a chance to win a pair of fabulous Sophia Webster wellies for your mini!

Maggie & Rose Activity Club – for younger kids you can sign up to this online resource. From singing to reading stories to craft activities, Maggie & Rose have it covered.

Educational Printable by Squidgearoo – there are a couple of free printables and then some others which you pay a very small price for. I love the layers of the Earth printable which I’ll be getting for the boys, and at 70p to support the small business, it seems a bargain.

Yarn Sticks by Simple Parenting – an easy peasy craft which would make a great Easter decoration…plus it means getting the kids to tidy the lawn of any fallen twigs!!

Shrunken Crisp Packet Necklace by Tatty Devine – maybe one for older kids or with help of a parent, this craft can be used to make keyring, bag charms or the necklace.

Cherry Blossom Picture by I Heart Crafty Things – wouldn’t this make a lovely picture to send to a grandparent or care home?

Large Scale Art – I did a post on this a couple of years ago. It does require potentially purchasing some materials…or it could be done on a smaller scale. My big tip is hide the black and brown colours!

Salt Dough Ornaments by Design Mom – salt dough is simple to make and can be used to make all kinds of decorations…you could even make pieces for a game of noughts and crosses (how about rabbits and carrots to keep the `easter theme going??)

Minibeast Hotel by RSPB – if the garage has been given a good clean during this isolation period you might have enough materials for the kids to build a mini beast hotel!

Potato Block Printing by Molly Mahon Block Printing – visit Molly’s Instagram to find inspiration for some potato printing patterns. If you have an old pillowcase you can set the kids up to create a new one. Fabric paint isn’t too expensive, or simply create beautiful patterns to frame and hang on the wall.

10 days To Conquer… by The Inspired Treehouse – there are a few different worksheets in this section but Teddy is desperate to be able to do a cartwheel so I’ve dowloaded the worksheet and hopefully he’ll be able to do one…in 10 days!
